Welcome The Order of The Lion Rampant, far from being simply a traditional 'Legitimist' or 'Jacobite' organisation, asserts the fact that the Convention of Estates of 1689 was wholly illegal and therefore all subsequent legislation (including the supposed Act of Union between England and Scotland of 1707) is devoid of any legitimate authority. The Kingdom of Scots, its Monarchy and government (The Three Estates) may have been in abeyance since 1688 but they exist legally and conceptually and carry more legitimacy than the de facto regime. Through three centuries this fact has not lost any of its power or importance for many Scots, at home and abroad, loyal to the Chief of Chiefs: The King of Scots! "Dėleas do'n Rėgh!" Our organisation champions & cherishes these principles and ideals and is structured along the lines of a Chivalric Order : its members as metaphorical Knights defending the Rights of their Monarch, his subjects and what they know to be true.
